Safety and Regulations:
• As a responsible provider, we follow guidelines set by the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS).
• This means we limit scans to 3 per person and keep ultrasound machine output low.
• Learn more about ultrasound safety at these links:
- BMUS: What to expect from different types of ultrasound examinations (obstetric/pregnancy) [BMUS website about ultrasounds ON bmus.org]

Additional Information:
• Chaperones: We offer chaperones at our clinics, but please arrange this with the clinic at least 3 days in advance.
• Proof of ID: Please bring valid ID (must be 18 or older) to your appointment. No scan will be performed without ID.
• Image Quality: In rare cases, the baby's position may make gender or 3D/4D imaging difficult. We'll offer a free re-scan in such situations.
- If optimal images are unattainable after the re-scan, the sonographer will advise you on further scan options (additional charges may apply).
• Complaints: If you're not satisfied with our service, email your concerns to info@babyultrasoundsheffield.co.uk. The clinic manager will address them within 7 business days (you'll be informed of any delays).
• For expecting parents of twins: To ensure a thorough and efficient appointment for you and your multiples, we kindly recommend booking a 30-minute slot instead of the standard time. This allows us to provide the personalized care you deserve. Please be aware that a £20 surcharge applies to these extended twin appointments.
